Shaft details EF (Euro Fitting) / I-shaft type shaft / spindle The hour and second hands are push-on hands, the minute hand is fitted with a small round nut. The I-shaft (Euroshaft) type shaft is defined as follows; hour hand shaft diameter: 5.0mm minute hand shaft: 3.5mm x 2.8mm, threaded for M3.5mm round nut. Shaft length: Choose between 12 and 26mm. The shaft length is the combined length of the mounting thread and hand shafts. Choose enough thread for your dial thickness and say 2mm for the fixings. 12mm : Thread length 4.5mm, suits clock face thicknesses up to 2.5mm. Includes minute hand fixing nut. 16.5mm : Thread length 8.5mm, suits clock face thicknesses up to 6.5mm. Includes minute hand fixing nut. 21.9mm : Thread length 13.7mm, suits clock face thicknesses up to 11.5mm. Includes minute hand fixing nut. 26mm : Thread length 18.7mm, suits clock face thicknesses up to 16.5mm. Includes minute hand fixing nut. Fixing nut type Mounting thread diameter: 7.5mm (standard thread). We offer a choice in the type of fixing nut. The price is the same. Hex nut and washer includes rubber washer, and flat metal washer with brass fixing nut. The rubber washer is intended to sit behind the clock dial. The brass washer and nut is fitted at the front of the dial. Slotted round nut includes rubber washer with round brass fixing nut . The round nut doesn't need the metal washer and gives a smarter finish. It uses 1mm less of the threaded shaft so can be used for thicker dials. A deeper version is available which uses 2mm less of the threaded shaft. It needs a hole diameter of 10mm. Hanger A metal hanger is available which is placed on the movement before fitting it.
